US #13 Radnor girls do not receive a bid for NTN... but now it\'s time to celebrate.

Despite intense and repeated efforts to logically pursuade the Nike Team Nationals selection committee of the merits of offering the NE #4 Radnor girls an at-large bid, the offer has gone to the 3rd ranked team in Calinfornia. The team had been CA #5 until finishing 3rd at Saturday\'s CA State Champs in the combined score. They are unranked in the latest Harrier Super 25, while Radnor is ranked #13 (December 4th 2006. Vol 31, issue #V). However, it is time to celebrate the accomplishments of this team... because an NTN bid would have only been the a bonus, not an end....

It is time to celebrate the accomplishments of this team... because an NTN bid would have only been the a bonus, not a goal....

Radnor won every meet they raced in Pennsylvania, including their League, County, District and State. And they came within nine points of defeating then-US #1 Hinton NY (the defending NTN Champs) on their 2006 State course... at a meet in late September. That is a season for the PA XC history books, and one that will be talked about for years to come.

Congratulastions to the fans, to the parents, and especially to the athletes and coaches for making this year a enjoyaable one. Thank you.

Go Coatesville!
