The Woodlands TX -
7820.98 points 


The Woodlands continues to dominate with a large points lead over the others in the region.  Katie Willard joined the scoring with 1714.05 points off of a 2:15.42 800 and a 5:06.54 1600..

 

Clinton MS is #2 in the South region with a US#45 ranking. 



Midwest Girls

Lee's Summit MO - 7477.61 points 


Lee's Summit MO extended their hold on this region with a slight increase in points, but dropped 3 places in the national rankings. 

 


York IL is 2nd in the Midwest with a US ranking of 38 and a score of 6899.22 points.  Michelle Frigo added 871.16 points this week from a 2:16.55 800. 

 



Southeast Girls


This region continues to be deep with 3 teams in the US top-10 and 4 teams in the US top-12! 
Boyd Anderson FL sits atop the pile now with an impressive total of 7607.89 points.  They sit at US#6.  Western Branch, VA moved back up, into 2nd place with 7567.31 points and a US#7 ranking.  West, TN fell back to US#9 while Millbrook, NC now sits at US#12

Imani Sudlow contributed big to the rise with a 2:13.70 800 that garnered 912.88 points.

Western Branch VA - 7567.31 points


Keilah Tyson improved her 100 to 11.74 to earn 989.13 points.  She also moved to the HJ with a 5-5.25 for 880 points while Desmonae Gray took over the long jump with 17-3.75 for 822.73 points.

Northeast Girls


Southern Regional, NJ rolled to the top this week with a US#15 ranking and 7458.04 points. Hopewell Valley, NJ sits in 2nd with a US#19 ranking and 7407.80 points.

Emily Kianka leads her team with 1789.09 points, gathered with a 5-9.25 high jump and a 17-1.5 long jump.  Julie Jablonski loaded up with 1664.21 points off of a 2:21.64 800 and a 4:41.30 1500..

This is a very balanced club with a different athlete for each event they are scoring.  They added 26 points to their score to remain atop their division but fell 4 places to US#6.

The Woodlands keeps the #2 spot with some minor improvements, but fell big to US#13 from US#7.




Midwest Boys


This region has 2 teams in the top-5 led by East Kentwood, MI who rocketed to the top with 7849.30 points and a US#4 ranking.  Wayne, OH dropped in the region, but moved up to US#5 from US#12.

Jon Henry tore through a 10.64 100 dash to score 945.24 points.  Chris James ran 14.44 in the 110 hurdles to score 919.40 points, while Robbie Hix scored 900 points with his 14-11.75 pole vault.

Wayne, OH - 7838.91 points


This team continues to be led by Demoye Bogle who improved his 100 to 10.75 and his 400 to 48.77 for a total of 1804.02 points.  Trey Hammons-Scott ran 14.54 in the 110 hurdles for 904.48 points.

This team is loaded with talent with 4 guys scoring well over 900 points in an event.  Keenan Harp went 10.51 in the 100 dash to garner 976.19 points, Robert Edwards went 14.13 in the 110 hurdles to score 965.67 points, Tyler Anyan ran 4:12.43 in the 1600 for 937.13 points, and Matt Caldwell went 6-9 in the high jump for 928.57 points.

Devin Screen improved his shot to 52-2.75 and his discus to 177 for a total of 1780.90 points.  Brandon Hollifield leapt 6-7.75 to add 907.14 points.

Brentwood, TN - 7693.57 points


Ford Bell blitzed a 1:52.1:52.72 800 and a 4:15.84 1600 for a total of 1846.83 points.  Kevin Lazas went 6-5.5 in the HJ and 23-5.75 in the LJ for a total of 1814.23 points. 

 

 


Northeast Boys


Delsea Regional is the first NE team to break into the top 25 nationally with a US#21 showing.

Sean McPherson garnered some big points with a 10.83 100 dash and a 23-8.5 LJ for a total of 1864.15 points.

Malvern Prep, PA moved up to a US#40 ranking with 7281.99 points.  Wallace Spencer went 14.14 in the hurdles to gain 964.18 points. 

 

 

 

Southwest Girls

Chandler High School in Arizona still leads the southwest  and  moved from US#3 to US#2 with the addition of 115 points to their team score.     Making a difference in the team score are Hannah Carson with 905 points in the discus with a 137-11.75,  Cadija Harris with 900 pts in the high jump  and Jasmine Todd with 923 pts for her faster time in the 100 dash.  Chandler is about 300 points behind the national leader, Long Beach Poly from California.

Desert Vista remains in the same spot in all three areas and has moved up 30 points to 7676736Shaylah Simpson is still leading the way with 1000 points for her 13-0 pole vault.  Senior Courtney Darling threw the shot put 38-1.75 feet to earn 9 more points for the team (831).  Sydnee Freeman earned 817 points for the team with a 58.44 time in the 400 dash and Tinisha Toussaint jumped 5-4.75 in the high jump for 870 pts.

 

 
 

Northwest Girls

Last week: US#25  NW#1  WA#1     7129.22 pts                    

 

Kentwood, WA leads the northwest and moved up two place in the national ranking to finish the week at US#25.  Kentwood moved up 120 points to 7247.44.  Once again Alyx Toeanina impoved her shot put to earn a few more points for the team.  Megan McNally ran a 2:21.08 in the 800 for 804 points and Dana Wareham ran a 59.71 in the 400 for 769 points.

Kent Meridian, WA moved into the #2 spot in the region and state with 6848.80 points, bumping previously ranked Cody, WY down to 3rdJenna Crain leads the team with 943 points for her 12-0 pole vault.  Also adding points for the team is Alexia Martin and Abria Jones. Martin earned 748 pts for her 5:15 1600 meter run and 737 pts for her 2:25.69 meter run.  Jones threw the shot put 33-2.75 feet for 746 pts and the discus 105-8 ft for 768 pts.

 

 

 

Heartland Girls

Last week:  US#14  HL#1  NE#1    7376.93                      

 

Southwest out of Lincoln, Nebraska stays at #1 in the region and moved up 3 spots nationally to US#11 with 7542.79 pts.  Helping the team this week were Amanda Brown and Tina Fantroy.  Brown improved on her 400 meter dash running a 57.26 for 861 pts. While Fantroy gained a foot in the long jump for 850 pts.

Iowa City West from Iowa City is still holding on to #2 in the region and moved down in the national rankings to US#17.  Courtney Fritz had a huge PR in the discus throwing  152-7.75 for 967 pts.  Fritz also threw the shot put 44-3.75 for 938 pts. 

 

 

 

California Girls


Although there has been a shift in places, four California teams still land in the top ten nationally.

Long Beach Poly (Polytechnic) still remains at #1 in the Nation with 8218.59 points.  No changes have taken place in their scoring.

Trabuco Hills out of Mission Viejo, CA stayed at US#4 and increased their score by 1.7 pts.

Vista Murrieta from Murrieta, CA move down 2 places to US#8 with now change in team points.

Harvard Westlake from North Holywood,CA bumped previously ranked Paramount out of the top ten and moved into the US#10 spot tearning 7552.11 team points.    Earning some big points for the team are Zaakirah DanielsLauren Hansson and Amy Weissenbach.  Daniels earned 904 pts for her  14.72 100 meter hurdles while Hansson earned 874 pts for her 56.92 400 meter dash and Weissenbach racked up 861 pts. In the 800 (2:17.19) meter run and 813 pts in the 1600 (5:07) meter run.

 

 

 

Southwest Boys

 

 

This week:  US#14  SW#1  AZ#1     7617.06  pts.

Last week:  US#8   SW#1  AZ#1      7617.06  pts.

 

Brophy College Prep  out of Phoenix, Arizona still holds the #1 spot in the southwest region but moved down to US#14.  Although there has been no change in the team scoring for Brophy Prep, teams across the country have moved ahead.

Last week:  US#14  SW#1  AZ#1     7455.43         

             

Desert Vista, Phoenix,  Arizona  is just 35 points behind Brophy Prep moving up in points but down in the rankings to US#16.  Chris Whiton’s 14-9 PR in the pole vault gave the team some extra points and Albert Kombe moved into the 1600 column with a 4:29.40 time for 752 points.

 

 

 

 

Northwest Boys

Last week:  US#9  NW#1  OR#1      7595.50 pts                      

 

Sam Barlow out of Gresham, Oregon moved up to US#8 this week with a gain of 135 pts for 7729.76  Sam Barlow’s gain was due to Ryan Crouser’s new state record, in the shot put, of 69-8.75 earning 1054.14 points for his team.  Crouser also threw the discus 201-6 feet for 1010.23 points.

Kentwood out of Covington, Washington remained at #2 in the region but dropped down to US#42 with 7250.39 points.  Tim Pettit ran a 1:53.93 for a 2 second PR in the 800 earning 914.96 pts for the team.

 

 

 

 

Heartland Boys

 

This week:  US#26  HL#1  ND#1       7421.57 pts                 

Last week:  Unranked

 

Southwest out of Lincoln, NE moves into the top position in the heartland bumping previously ranked Bismark.   Helping the team with points are Vino Brown, Christian Sanderfer and Ben Shield.  Brown jumped 6-7.75 in the high jump for 907 pts and 23-3.5 in the long jump for 939 pts.  Sanderfer has earned 889 pts for his 14-9 pole vault and Sheild ran a 10.84 in the 100 dash for 897 pts. Southwest is only 30 points ahead of Bismark.

Bismarck in North Dakota moves down to the #2 spot in the region and 29th in the US.  Brandon Barnes put up a 4:18.78 in the 1600 meter run last weekend for 868 points.  Kevin Poitra also improved on his high jumped with a 6-3.75 jump for 835 pts.

 

 

 

 

California Boys

 

As the weeks heat up and teams across the country post big marks a shake up in the California schools bumps Long Beach Poly and Trabuco Hills out of the top 10 national rankings.
