Oregon City Cross-over

    Kennedy Allen of David Douglas continues to impress with her victory Wednesday at the 3 River league/Mt. Hood Conference held at Oregon City.   Her time of 18:53 found her coming home a minute ahead of runner-up Rachiel Niesen of Southridge, who ran 19:55.   Emily Trosino of Reynolds placed third in 20:03 and Rebecca Donnelly of West Linn took fourth with 20:29.  Fifth went to Heather LaPlante of Southridge, who ran 20:33. 

Marja Jozic (20:36) & Hannah Mordford (20:38) of the Lions garnered 6th & 7th aiding West Linn  win the team title with 42 points, as Reynolds & Southridge followed with 51 & 54 respectively.   Tempering the victory was the fact that Grant did not run

     Ian Stevens of Reynolds authored a strong effort by racing across the finish line in 15:45 and Sisay Gillock of Portland Christian ran a fine 16:08 to earn second.   Brandon Raleigh of Reynolds followed them home in third with 16:16.  West Linn runners Connor Cushman (16:30) & Tyler Griffin (16:33) took fourth & fifth.  Al Lacy led the home team with his sixth place effort of 16:52, while Grayson Ollar earned seventh and was the first of the vaunted lion freshman with 16:53.  The Lion kiddy corps also included Colin Squires & Roman Ollar, who placed 12th & 13th but it was not quite enough to overcome Reynolds power up front, so Reynolds got the nod 39 to 41.   Oregon City placed third with 54 points.

     Not to be over-looked was Nick Obletz’ fine time on Tuesday.  He romped with a time of 16:39 to win by over a minute.   Samantha Lindauer of Southwest Christian led the girls with 21:45.
