The University of Oregon added two distance stars from Oregon - both from Summit High School. Three-time Oregon 5A XC champion Megan Fristoe & Ashley Maton, second at State will run next fall for the Ducks. Joining them as well will be AbbeyLeonard, who is a four-time Maine Division A champion plus a three-time Foot Locker finalist. Abbey placed fourth in the nation last December at Foot Locker.
EUGENE, Ore. – The Oregon men’s team swept the top six spots while the Oregon women claimed the top two places in the season-opening Pre’s Trail Run before an enthusiastic crowd Thursday evening at Alton Baker Park.
EUGENE, Ore. – Two Olympians and 11 All-Americans will be present as the defending NCAA Champion men’s team and national runner-up women’s team open their 2008 cross country seasons with the Pre’s Trail Run Thursday at Alton Baker Park. The women will run against Oregon State and Portland State at 6 p.m., while the Men of Oregon and Portland State will race at 6:30 p.m. After the men’s competition, there will be a kids’ fun run at 7 p.m., which will be followed by an autograph and photo session with the 2008 teams.
