Saucony Elite 50 Individual Girls | Week 6

*Editor's Note: The Saucony Elite 50 refers to the top-50 individuals in the country (25 boys and 25 girls).

There are a few more Invitationals on the schedule but we are starting to get into Conference, Regional, District and State action across the country.  With that being said, let's get into the highlights from the past week's individual girls action.

US#4 Taylor Werner (MO) flat-out dominated in her win with a time of 17:39 at the Borgia Invitational.  US#6 Lauren Gregory and US#7 Jordyn Colter won their regionals to move on to the CO state champs, and US#8 Caroline Alcorta (VA) rounded out the top-10 harriers with her course record of 17:11 at the Third Battle Invitational.

US#16 Makena Morley won the Capital City 7 on 7 in a time of 17:00.  US#18 Audrey Belf recorded a 17:23.80 to win OAA Red Champs by a huge margin.  US#19 Lucy Biles rocked a 16:53.30 to win the Utah Region 4 Championships and move on to the UT state champs.  US#20 Abbie McNulty rocked a 17:08.70 to win the Bob McIntyre Twilight XC Invitational.  US#25 Lauren Brasure recorded a 17:39 to win OK Red Jamboree #3.

US#24 Autumn Eastman (VT) earned a spot in the rankings with her Manhattan Invite performance last weekend, but backed it up in a big way this week.  Autumn won the NVAC Champs with a course record clocking of 17:47.6, close to a minute ahead of the rest of the race.

Stay tuned for another exciting week of XC coming this week and of course each week as we bring you the Saucony Elite 50 Individual Girls every Monday morning!
