8. Loyola (CA) - A disappointing finish on one of California's biggest stages, Loyola placed third at the Mt. SAC Invitational Saturday in the Boys Super Sweepstakes race.  With their main pack too far back from race winner Murrieta Valley, Loyola scored 161 points, nearly 60 points away from MV.

9. Los Alamos (NM) - Idle.  The team prepares for their invitational next weekend, where they face US #1 Albuquerque Academy.

10. North Penn (PA) - Easily winning thier conference champion, North Penn used their massive momentum from the weekend before to crush the competition.  Keep an eye on this time as the season continues to roll on.

Girls

1. Fayetteville-Manlius (NY) - Idle. After an impressive win at the Manhattan Invitational, F-M took the weekend off to rest and prepare for the bigger meets ahead.

2. Eldorado (NM) - Going against many of the top teams in the state Saturday at the Rio Rancho Jamboree, Eldorado beat runner-up Albuquerque Academy 34-59, showing their dominating presence up front with a 1-3 sweep.  Rachel Verde again led the team with the individual title.

3. Saugus (CA) - Running one of the best team performances in the nation so far this fall, Saugus beat the stellar field at the Mt. SAC Invitational Saturday in the Girls Super Sweepstakes.  Facing off against US #5 Carondelet, Saugus used their impressive pack to beat the field.  Led by senior Katie Dunn and freshman Kailyn Mahoney, placing eighth and ninth respectively, Saugus' spread of 52 seconds crushed the field, as they put in their entire top seven before any other teams' fifth runner finished.

4. Mountain Brook (AL) - Placing 1-2 and 7-9, Mountain Brook easily won the Husky Challenge, beating runner-up Hoover 27-51.

5. Carondelet (CA) - Going head-to-head with US #3 Saugus at the Mt. SAC Invitational put a lot of pressure on this team.  Perhaps the pressure effected them, as Carondelet placed third overall in the Super Sweepstakes race.  While third in this historic meet always speaks volumes of a teams program, Carondelet left looking for answers.  While their top two ran well, their 3-4 runners were simply too far back.

6. Westfield (IN) - Taking on some of Indiana's top competition week in and week out often times wears on a team.  However, Westfield proved they are ready for their state meet next weekend, as they soundly beat the field at the Franklin Central Semi-State.

7. Saratoga Springs (NY) - Forgetting the great performances they accomplished a few days before, Saratoga Springs lined up against previously US ranked Burnt-Hills (NY) in an incredible dual meet earlier in the week.  Springs beat B-H 25-30, placing four in the top six.

8. Fort Collins (CO) - With state just around the corner, Fort Collins needed a big performance to carry into next weekend's state competition.  Regionals on Saturday served as just that, as Fort Collins beat the competition in dominating fashion, scoring a mere 17 points.  Placing 1-4, 7 for their top five, Lisa Reyna led the squad on the windy course, winning the overall title.

9. Greenwich (NY) - Idle.  Did not race their top squad at the Greenwich Invitational.
