Dunbar quadrouples with 4:10 state record 1600

Kodiak (AK) senior Trevor Dunbar posted the state's fastest ever prep time at 1600 meters as part of a monster quadrouple performance this past weekend at the Juneau Invitational. Dunbar won the 1600 meter run in 4:10.78 to move ontop of the state all-time list in the event to further establish himself as one of the greatest distance runners to come out of the state of Alaska. Dunbar added victories in the 800 (1:58.57), 3200 (9:10.74), and ran a leg on the first place 4x400 meter relay from Kodiak High.

Juneau-Douglas junior Leah Francis ruled the girls' distance races winning the 1600, 800, and 3200 meter races including a MileSplit US elite performance of 11:19.96 in the 3200 meter run.
