(The University of Oregon bound, Tyler Arbaugh is the reigning OATCCC D2/D3 State Champion and New Balance Nationals runner-up performer)

In recent years, Ohio-based athletes have been major players on the national weight throwing scene and early signs for 2020 indicate that this season will be no exception.

On the boy's side, Henry Zimmerman (New Albany) and Tyler Arbaugh (Van Buren) are 1-2 state-wide and reside at 2-3 nationally due to 74-2.75 and 72-8 efforts at last month's Tiffin University High School Meet #1

In ladies competition, Leipsic's Ella Rigel has already hit 50 feet even, which plants her as the state-leader and 10th in the country.

Below and on the following page, review the state's top early season (December - January) weight throw marks year-over-year for the past 5 years.
