BELMONT, Calif. --- Lyndy Davis and Theresa Hailey earned All-West Coast Conference honors as the Portland Pilots placed third at the 2009 WCC Women’s Cross Country Championships at Crystal Springs Course on Saturday.
Davis finished seventh overall in a time of 21:44 at the 6K course. Hailey came in four seconds later to place ninth. Sophomore Elizabeth Keaveny earned honorable mention all-league honors by placing 15th.
San Francisco won the meet with 45 points, followed by LMU (52), Portland (64) and Santa Clara (97).
Head coach Ian Solof is redshirting his top two returning harriers this season, Dana Morgan and Natalie Hemphill. The Pilots have also battled injuries all season and ran five underclassmen.
Portland will next compete at the NCAA West Regional on Saturday, Nov. 14 at the Springfield Country Club in Springfield, Ore.
