Several Oregon high school track and field athletes recorded personal bests during meets held April 6-10.
Tariku Johnson (Lincoln HS, Portland) ran 9:04.42 in the boys' 3000 meters at PIL- Wells @ Lincoln on April 8, improving from his previous best of 9:36.47 set in March. The junior finished second among 19 competitors and ranks #51 in Oregon.
Allie Kuchta (McMinnville HS, McMinnville) clocked 12.82 in the girls' 100 meters at Newberg @McMinnville on April 8, dropping from her previous personal record of 14.27 set in March 2025. The sophomore won the event among 48 competitors and ranks #51 in Oregon and #14 among sophomores.
Georgiana Williams (Hood River Valley, Hood River) ran 12.66 in the girls' 100 meters at Putnam and Wilsonville @ Hood River on April 9, improving from 13.12. The sophomore won among 35 competitors and ranks #14 in Oregon, and also set a personal best in the 200 meters with 26.27, improving from 26.38.
Deontae Washinton (Blanchet Catholic, Salem) ran 16.04 in the boys' 110-meter hurdles at the PacWest League Meet at Scio on April 9, breaking from his previous best of 16.96 set in April. The sophomore won among five competitors with a Blanchet Catholic school record and ranks #40 in Oregon and #5 among sophomores.
Clayton Jero (Summit, Bend) ran 8:49.47 in the boys' 3200 meters at the Arcadia Invitational on April 10, improving from 9:16.81 set in April 2025. The sophomore finished 23rd among 182 competitors with a Summit school record and ranks #2 in Oregon and #1 among sophomores.
Osarieme Ogbeide (Jesuit, Portland) ran 15.87 in the girls' 100-meter hurdles at the 15th Tiger Invitational @ South Pasadena on April 10, improving from 16.78 set in April. The freshman finished 11th among 57 competitors and ranks #25 in Oregon and #1 among freshmen, and also set a personal best in the 300-meter hurdles with 48.02, improving from 49.60.
Henry Glass (West Albany, Albany) ran 16.13 in the boys' 110-meter hurdles at Central, Lebanon, W.A @ Woodburn on April 7, improving from 17.27. The senior won among five competitors and ranks #50 in Oregon and #14 among seniors, and also set a personal best in the 300-meter hurdles with 43.33, improving from 45.54.
