SEATTLE, Wash. --- The University of Portland men’s and women’s track & field teams continued their season with a second trip to Seattle, this time to compete in the UW Invitational. The two-day event was hosted by the University of Washington and held in the Dempsey Indoor complex on the UW campus. Senior Cori Moore had a solid outing with a 12th place finish in the 800-meter run in a time of 2:11.90.
The UP women participated in the 800-meters, 1-mile, and 3000-meters events while the men ran in the 200-meters and 1-mile events.
The Pilots next outing will be at the 2011 USA Cross Country Championships on Saturday, February 5 to be held at Mission Bay Park in San Diego, California. In 2010 redshirt freshman Trevor Dunbar was the top finisher in the Junior Division of the race and went on to claim 11th overall at the IAAF World Junior Championships in Canada.
The University of Portland will also host the Pilot Indoor Invitational on Sunday, Febraruy 6 in the Chiles Center on the UP campus.
