Kelly O' Neill earned her 4th trip to State.

Paige Rice & Kyle Thompson earned titles in the Mt. Hood Conference and Dan Oekerman of Beaverton had the best time of the day.   Ella Donaghu and Parkes Kendrick of Grant went 1 -2 in the 3 Rivers.  The Jesuit Crusaders will head to State once again led by Ellie Kallgren.

Elijah Armstrong of Pocatello

In the northwest Oregon & Washington runners made their final adjustments prior to their State qualifiers & Idaho runners ran their qualifiers.  The big news was on the national level, where Sara Baxter put in a performace, that was perhaps second only to that of Melody Fairchild.   Baxter ran three miles (not a 5K) at Mt. SAC in 16:00.

Paige Rice  had by far the fastest time  of the day for a female runner with 17:48 & in fact it was swifter than that of many of the guys.   Dan Oekerman of Beaverton had the fastest time for the guys with 15:47, although Sam Remington, running at a different venue, was not far behind with his 15:49.

girls action at Concordia (by Craig Rice)

Adidas Concordia was the highlight of the week with Andrew Gardner & Ella Donaghu topping the bill.   Around the nation it was the return of Edward Cheserek to action that was probably the biggest news, which was a part of Eastern States.  Mary Cain headed the girls' field there.

Dual Meet Action in the Vancouver Area Leo Collins Oct 11, 2012

    Tuesday’s duals provided some interesting results, which should have a broader impact on the outlook for state.  Especially pertinent were the match-ups between Colby Gilbert of Skyview & Mark Tedder of Battle Ground for the guys.  Also of note was the battle between Alexa Efraimson of Camas and Alexis Fuller of Union.
