Coach David Malady has retired from Weddington Cross Country so NCRunners and a few willing coaches will be maintaining the XC Coaches Poll this season. For the most part everything will stay the same, except there will be 2 polls ranking the top 15 teams in the state.

I encourage ALL coaches to participate. The more of you that vote, the better the poll will be!

Johnny Dutch\'s False Start? Ben Hovis Jun 20, 2007

\"\"Dutch's coach, Bennett Jones had this to say, “The disqualification was extremely disappointing for Johnny. The 110 hurdles has always been his best race and he was looking forward to trying to defend his championship and to make an attempt at the national record in the event. To have that opportunity taken away was not only unjust for Johnny, but also for all of those that wanted to see him perform one last time on the Nike stage. With that said, Johnny is now focused on running the best he can at the USATF Juniors and on continuing to get better each day. Johnny has shown remarkable resolve throughout his career and I have no doubt that he will do so again this upcoming weekend.”

Dylan Ferris is heading into this weekend's Nike Outdoor National meet with a lot of confidence. In the last 2 weeks, he has run a 4:08.1 true mile and the nation's #1 800 meter time, 1:49.27. Dylan is only a junior but enters the meet with very lofty goals. For him, everything seems to be lining up perfectly.
