Meet Information

PDXtravaganza XC Invite
Saturday, September 26th, 2020

Location: Milo McIver State Park, Estacada, OR. Upon entering the park, take a left at the first
intersection toward the disc golf course

Parking: $5 per vehicle payment at the main entrance. Registered teams will receive a parking pass.

T-shirt sales: Event shirts and Lewis & Clark gear will be available for purchase.

Spectators: Course is extremely spectator friendly. Spectators should be aware of the course at all
times. Please stay off the course and do not impede the runners.

Restrooms: Several large restroom buildings are located in the park. There are no shower facilities.

Inclement Weather: All events will be contested, weather permitting. Delays, combining of sections,
or cancellations will be determined with the athletes safety and best interest in mind.

Eligibility: Open to any youth, middle school, or high school aged athletes. Classifications will be as
follows:
1. High School: HS athletes competing for their schools
2. Middle School/Youth: all athletes whom have yet to enter high school

Entries: Enter athletes via athletic.net. All entries must be submitted by Tuesday, September 22nd at
8:00pm. No entry limits per team.

Entry Fee: School entry fee to be paid through athletic.net is $150 per team or $300 for a school
bringing both boys and girls. $25 per individual entry.

Packets: Packets will be available on Saturday beginning at 8:00am near the finish line and will
include bibs, chips, and course maps. At the conclusion of the meet, coaches should collect all chips
and return to the timer; each missing chip will result in a fee of $10.

Awards: Team Champions of Varsity/JV sections and Top 10 individual finishers in each race will
receive an award. Top 10 finishers in the Elite section, and winner of each varsity section, receive a
Nike backpack.

Results: Live results will be available at www.live.tf/xc during the meet. Results will be posted online
at athletic.net at the conclusion of the meet.

Event Procedures:

Middle School/Youth 3k begin 9:30am Races divided by genders. One section of each.
High School begin 10:30am Races divided by genders in the following categories:
Varsity 5k Top 8 runners per team
Junior Varsity 5k unlimited entries per team
Developmental 3k unlimited entries per team

Order of events below.
Final time schedule and section assignment will be sent out by Wednesday at noon after entries are received.

9:30am Middle School/Youth 3k

10:30am High School
Developmental 3k
Varsity 5k
Junior Varsity 5k

How sections are formed in each high school category:

Varsity 5k Coaches may enter 8 athletes in the Varsity 5k.
Coaches will be asked to estimate their top 5 runners average times. Sections to be determined by meet management based on entries.
Developmental 3k/Junior Varsity 5k Coaches may enter anybody they wish.
If sections are necessary, teams will be split according to varsity section entry.
NOTE For the safety of the athletes, race sections will be capped between 20-30 teams and ~200-250 individuals. Developmental 3k may be coed. If fewer than 50 athletes enter the developmental 3k, we will ask that they join the JV 5k.

Special Requests
Sections will be established by the Wednesday prior to the meet at noon. Coaches may make
special requests to move sections. Every effort will be made to accommodate requests while
preserving the integrity of the meet and safety of the athletes. Examples of special requests
may include, but are not limited to:

Moving an individual(s) to the Elite Varsity Section
Men sub 16:15 5k ability on day of race
Women sub 18:45 5k ability on day of race
Note teams cannot be moved based on an individual moving
Moving a JV team to a Varsity Section
In some cases where a team may be very deep and their top JV runners (#9-16) would be competitive in a Varsity race, requests can be made to do so
Note each school can only have one team entered in the Elite Section
All special requests must be made in writing to meet management. All decisions are at the discretion of meet management.
