One of the best runners to come out of Montana, Makena Morley, decides to keep her talents in her home state as she commits to run for the University of Montana. We caught up with the US #12 runner to ask her a bit about the recruiting process and her reactions after the big decision.

The second edition of Friday Focus features Michigan's Audrey Belf. The US #6 senior from Birmingham Seaholm won the 5k Junior National title this summer and remains undefeated this season. As the post-season heats up look for Belf to challenge for some Michigan state records and compete for another national title.

Future Stars Spotlight: David Principe Jimmy Stevenson Oct 10, 2014

David or "DJ" Principe is one of the top sophomores in the nation leading the US #2 La Salle Academy. He had a stellar freshmen year with PRs of 9:15 (3200m) and 4:28 (mile). He found success in some early season meets winning the Injury Fund XC Carnival in 15:27. Most recently at the Great American XC Festival, Principe led his team to a team title with his 7th place finish running 15:30. Future Stars Spotlight presented by Hoka One One.

Alana Hadley ran her first 5k at age six and broke 21:00 in the 5k at age nine. In 7th grade, she ran a 17 minute 5k in her first track meet. She began toying with longer races and found even more success in the half and full marathons. Now a professional marathoner, she will compete in the Marathon Olympic Marathon Trials.
