US #2 performances from the girls' throwing events at Friday's Twilight Relays with Alyssa Hasslen of McMinnville High School improving her US #2 mark in the shot put to 48'7", while Lake Ridge junior Lexi Ross threw for a US #2 distance of 152'10" with her teammate Andrea Hopkins taking second with a US #6 performance of 147'5". A swift girls 100 meter sprint race was found between Kellie Schuler of Summit High and Kayla Smith of Benson High as both girls went well under 12 seconds with Schuler as the winner at 11.68 and Smith as the runer-up at 11.77.
