Boyle, Withers Ready For NCAA West Regional Championship Nov 13, 2009

Gonzaga University's men's cross country team will have two participants in the NCAA West Regional Saturday at Springfield Country Club in Springfield, Ore., located east of Eugene.Sophomore Chris Boyle, who automatically qualified as a Top 10 finisher at the West Coast Conference Championship, and senior captain Brett Withers will represent the Bulldogs with a spot in the NCAA Cross Country Championship at stake.

Hello, hello! I hope all of you Duck fans are as excited as we are for this upcoming Regional meet in Springfield! Pac-10s was very exciting, and we plan to carry that momentum into this meet; however, we will keep in mind that the Regional meet is a means to an end.

Oregon to Host NCAA West Regional Nov 11, 2009

The Oregon men's and women's cross country teams, ranked third and fifth in the nation, respectively, return to action to host the NCAA West Regional on Saturday, Nov. 14 at the Springfield Country Club. The men's race begins at 9:45 a.m., with the women's race at 10:45 a.m. The top two men's and women's teams from each of nine regionals being conducted around the country on Saturday will automatically advance to the NCAA Championships Nov. 23 in Terre Haute, Ind. There are an additional 13 at-large bids available. The race length is 6,000-meters for the women and 10,000 meters for the men.

Twenty-eight men's and women's cross country teams, including the top-ranked Stanford men and Washington women, will converge on Springfield Country Club on Saturday for the 2009 NCAA West Regional Championships. The men's race begins at 9:45 a.m., with the women going off at 10:45 a.m.
