Marcus Dickson put the finishing touches on a great day of racing at Brooks with his dramatic victory in the Boys Mile in the last race of the day.

Oregon Women's Running has come a long way since its first shared dual meet with the men in 1977.
Molly Seidel & Erin Finn take 1 - 2 at Foot Locker
Many of the finest high school runners in the nation will be racing this weekend in Seattle including Molly Seidel and Erin Finn, who went 1 -2 at Foot Locker in December. Included in the field are Darren Fahy & Emma Abrahamson of California, who recently finished in the top ten in their divisions of the US Junior XC meet against a field of collegians. The home crowd will have much to root for with Maddie Meyers, Katie Knight, Amy-Eloise Neale & Hannah Cunliffe leading the way for the girls and Anthony Armstrong, Andrew Gardner, Nicholas Boersma, Korey Krotzer, Marcus Dickson & Tatum Taylor will be just some of the local talent on hand to compete.
National leader sophomore Chyna Ries of CO who broke 20' last weekend jumped 19' 6" to win the girls long jump.
National leader junior Devin Field of Lancaster HS in TX leaped 24' 2.5" to win the boys long jump by more than one foot. He also won the 60 hurdles with a time of 7.83 which was faster than the national leader going into today.
Sophomore Ariana Washington of LB Poly in CA easily won the girls 200 with a time of 23.83 which breaks the national leading mark as of today.
National leader Torie Owers of GA representing Throw1deep did just that with a toss of 48' 10" to win the girls shot put by nearly 5 feet.
Tyler Smith of the Leduc Track Club in Edmonton, AB, won the boys 800 by over 2 seconds with a time of 1:49.46 and broke the meet record. Strymar Livingston of Christopher Columbus in NY was the runnerup with a time 1:51.90.
Dallin Farnsworth of Highland HS in ID won the 3200 with a time of 9:10.36. This breaks the record of Josh Rohatinsky set in 2000.
Dior Hall & Trinity Wilson zipped through the 60 Meter Hurdles with national class times to lead Friday qualifying action.

Anthony Armstrong & Amy-Eloise Neale were two of the top prep runners, who competed in the Husky Classic last weekend, while Rachel Proteau of Corvallis was impressive in the High Jump.
Collegiate athltetes ruled the 2012 US Junior XC Championships but a few preps proved that they could compete with their elders.

Maddie Meyers ran 10:02 in the 3K placing third against her field of collegiate athletes and Tatum Taylor zipped 6.79 in the 60 Meter Dash. Hannah Cunliffe also impressed in the 60 with her time of 7.61.
It may have been snowing outside but it was warm inside at UW's Dempsey Center. Tera Novy and Brittany Gappa led the way for Washington, while Kristen Coffman & Mary Kate McGwire impressed for Oregon on Saturday.

This year offered two fine racesto add to the over three decade tradition of the Foot Locker National Championships. Northwest harrier fans had much to like as well with Nathan Weitz, Andrew Gardner & Dallin Farnsworth all placing in the top eleven. For the girls Washington's Jordan McPhee and Idaho's Emily Nist represented the region.

Katie Knight & Amy-Eloise Neale shined for the Northwest girls at NXN, while Izaic Yorks and Anthony Armstrong led the guys.

Washington runner Jordan McPhee earned her first trip to sunny San Diego and the Foot Locker National finals. Idaho State champion Emily Nist will join McPhee next weekend after joining Mary Lyons & Nicole Nielsen as the state's only female qualifiers in history..

Washington's Nathan Weitz finished second & Andrew Gardner placed fourth, as they both earned return trips to San Diego for the Foot Locker National Championship. Dallin Farnsworth of Idaho placed third and became the state's 7th male runner to qualify.

Oregon & Washington will be well represented in the over three decade traddition of Foot Locker, as runners attempt to qualify for America's premier race. Maddie Meyers will attempt to be a three-time qualifier,while Nathan & Kendra Weitz attempt to duplicate thier feet as the only brother - sister combination to qualify in the same year. Jordan McPhee will give Washington another fine chance at national representation. Dallin Farnsworth & Emily Nist lead the Idaho contingent, while Travis Neuman & Kyle Thompson along with paul Adams will lead Oregon.
Futsum at Foot Locker in '10 by Colleen Collins
Edward Cheserek and Futsum Zeinasellassie won their regionals and will head to sunny San Diego. Molly Seidel crused to victory in the Midwest and Abbey leonardi earned her third trip to Nationals behind front-running Angel Piccirillo of Pennsylvania, who qualified for the second time.
The Border Clash victories of Anthony Armstrong & Katie Knight topped action in the region, while around the nation there were three State meets as well as a few other meets of significance.
Sheila Reid of Villanova defended her NCAA Crosss Country title withstanding a final charge by Oregon's Jordan Hasay. Georgetown claimed the team trophy over Washington.

Kennedy Kithuka of Weyland Baptist & Obsie Birru of of Grand View won the men's & women's individual titles at the NAIA Championships held at Fort Vancouver.
The entire first row of girls from NXN NW will race at BC.
On Sunday cross country fans will have a great array of talent compete at the 13th Oregon - Washington Border Clash.
